Ayelet's Challenge: The Hint to the Hint
28 - 4 = 24
4x3x2x1 =24
There are just 28 cards available, 4 have been displayed, so the card that Ayelet holds is just one of 24.
One can assign - in various ways - a number 1..24 to the hidden card
The four cards laid down are laid down in a definite sequence.
There are 24 possible sequences of 4 cards.
So Ayelet laid down a NUMBER that specifies the missing card.
There is a like challenge with a 124 card pack, also comprised of equal numbers of four suits.
But differing in precisely one other detail from Ayelet's Challenge.
Could one add a Joker to THIS pack, and still use the rejected cards, laid down, to indicate the hidden card ?
